Также возник вопрос нельзя ли при кодировании использовать ресурсы не только ЦП, но и ГП. К примеру знаю, что для сложных вычислений и обработки информации используют технологию CUDA(NVIDIA), нельзя ли что-то подобное прикрутить к следующим сборкам? Извиняюсь, если подобные вопросы подымались?

Two benchmarks. Once with an Intel Core i7-7500U (in a Lenovo E570 laptop), and then again with an AMD A10-5750M (in a Lenovo E545 laptop). Both laptops are/were about $500-600 USD when purchased. The E570 is brand new, while the E545 is almost exactly 3 years old. Both processors have a TDP of about 15W. So both computers are/were about the same price when purchased, and have about the same thermal/power characteristics and battery life. The difference is that the Intel is only dual core while the AMD is quad core, and of course, the Intel is 3 years newer. So it ought to be an interesting comparison.

* Update to my previous post. Sorry, I was mistaken. The AMD A10-5750M has a TDP of 35W, not 15W. So its TDP is much higher than the Intel Core i7-7500U. But all the other details were correct.

* Also, I was concerned by the temperature reading of 107°C (225°F). While this is obviously wrong (if my CPU were that hot, it'd be dead), it still made me concerned that perhaps my CPU was heating up enough to be throttling its speed back. So I re-ran x265 on the AMD with CPU-Z running on the side so I could watch my CPU frequency in real-time. The AMD A10-5750M is clocked at 2.5-3.5 GHz, and CPU-Z showed that my A10 was running about 2.1 GHz the whole time. It ran through "run 1" at 2.5 GHz and then throttled down to 2.1 GHz for "run 2", where it stayed through "run 3" and "run 4". So it was throttling back a little bit, but not a lot. And once it throttled back to 2.1 GHz, it stayed there, so it wasn't continually throttling back more and more. 2.1 GHz seems to be the steady-state for 100% usage of all 4 core simultaneously (Resource Monitor verified that 100% usage across all 4 cores). And the system is perfectly stable; no crashes during this or any other benchmarks.
